Life Story
I was born into a family who not only taught the Bible, but set a strong Christian example in their lives. So as a child on our dry land farm in West Texas, through God's grace and mercy, His Holy Spirit began to draw me to Himself, and I accepted Him as my Savior and Lord. That was many years ago now, and I can say with the song writer, "the longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows."
Serving the Lord, has also meant serving on the staff of FBC Clyde for many years. The members of this church have certainly become my "church family." This church family has had its ups and downs over the years. There have been many mountaintop experiences in our church's life, but also times when we have been heart broken by tragedy. However, through it all, God has been faithful to give us strength when we were weak, courage when we were afraid, and comfort when our hearts were broken. This is a wonderful church family.
Hope for FBC Clyde
My hope and prayer for this church is that it will continue to be a loving church family that proclaims God's grace, mercy, and love within the church walls, to the community of Clyde, and throughout the world around us until Christ returns.
