The goal of our worship is to provide a dynamic encounter with our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We believe that if we see God for who He really is that our lives will be changed.

"So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us...offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to Him.  This is the true worship you should offer."  Romans 12:1

Regular fellowship with believers is an essential ingredient in Christian growth.  Something more than individual effort is needed if love and good works are to be nurtured.  The new and living way in Christ fosters fellowship which spurs us on to spiritual maturity.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."    Heb. 10:24-25

Becoming a Christian is the beginning of a lifelong journey - a journey in which you are answering the question, "What does it mean to follow Jesus?"  At First Baptist Church you are offered a multitude of opportunities that are designed to connect you to God's truths as your journey leads you into Christlikeness.

"As the Sprit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him and reflect His glory even more."    2 Corinthians 3:18

We believe that every member of the Body of Christ has a purpose and calling  by God for service.  God created and designed you to do more than take up space, consume resources, or sit on the sidelines.  You were created to worship, to grow, and to serve.

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works."    Ephesians 2:10
